Our Whole Lives

Hello Families!

The local New Orleans UU churches will be offering Our Whole Lives (OWL) 4-6 beginning in January 2018. While the course was created for children roughly ages 9-12, this offering is open to children ranging in ages slightly younger or older if the parents/guardians and child are interested.

OWL 4-6 for ages 9-12) is a comprehensive, developmentally appropriate program that introduces key topics like values, body image, gender and sexual identity, peer pressure, and healthy relationships with sensitivity and inclusiveness.

This curriculum is designed to help children gain the knowledge, life principles, and skills they need to understand and express their sexuality in holistic, life-enhancing ways. It helps children learn about and discuss the physical, emotional, and social changes of puberty.
